There is nothing worse then expectations of a 4 star hotel and then finding something less, (so keep your expectations low). Upon arrival finding that all Jr. Suite rooms had been over booked (I have heard this story before in other parts of Mexico) and being directed to a closet sized room was very disheartening, but promptly corrected by a very sympathetic manager, Carlos.

Having just taken over a few months ago, I am sure they will eventually get it right. Although the hotel has a great location it is far from a 4 star. The service staff (Our Personal Favorites-Francesco & Nicholas) will treat you well if you are free with you propinas (tips) You look after them and they will look after you. As for hotel amenities, the pool was dirty with a liner that was not installed very well and the hot tub didn't work, and only after many complaints did the scrub the dirty ring from around the pool.

There were never enough chairs around the pool to accommodate the guests. This hotel has changed hands so many times; no one is sure what the name is. The MALL on the main floor of the hotel is mostly vacant, but there is another one that is walking distance along the marina boardwalk.
Our reservations for the a la carte restaurant in the lobby mysteriously disappeared a number of times, but the food was good and the service was acceptable, remember extra fees for Steak, & Lobster, some menus did vary. Please remember the words " No, gracias" when walking the marina boardwalk and dealing with the "Time Scare" & street vendors, and they are everywhere, From the boardwalk to your dinner table.
